Cakes with a dried-on side, pure chemical spray cream, toilets under all bugs not only old but also dirty, not renovated for 30 years, I used to go there as a child was always excellent, now it was like a journey back in time!

Sure, the ambience of the hotel (what I can judge from the outside) and the serving of the dishes are not up to date, but that has nothing to do with the quality. We went there after hiking and the food (schnitzel and cordon bleu) was delicious. And that's the only thing I can rate here.

Today we were again in the Grenzbachmühle! As always, a great meal! Also very tasty without meat! Menu has nice dishes! Salad with a delicious sauce, not just vinegar-oil! Nicely arranged! Large terrace with a great view of the Grenzbachtal! A beautiful veranda is also available for the cooler season! Very nice terrace in the middle of the forest, ideal for starting or ending a hike in the Grenzbach valley and the surrounding area. We had the schnitzel, which was really delicious. If you want gourmet should go somewhere else, it's good home cooking here. Staff friendly and quick, even though it was well attended. Hygiene rules were strictly observed. Recommendation!

Visiting my elderly parents in Horhausen we stayed once again in this delightful hotel the Grenzbachmule for bed and breakfast.The hotel is down in the forest and has lovely woodland walks all around it.The rooms are spacious clean and the breakfasts although continental are typical German fayre ...delicious and plenty of it ..Once again a lovely 3 night stay in this peaceful setting. .We will be returning.

We were there with 4 adults today to eat. In the nice weather you can sit outside. There were umbrellas and fresh water for our dogs. A small playground pleased the children. The price performance ratio is right. The menu is extensive and the wait was short. The food was very good to us all.

Calm, nature, hiking, cycling and a good night's sleep on the babbling border stream. Good meat dishes and fresh trout, very tasty. Absolutely top is the location of the Grenzbach mill!

Great atmosphere of the hotel and especially peace, only the nature of the sound of the stream and the birds singing, additionally the kitchen, scrumptious dishes can be eaten and enjoyed by the owner, Claudia helps how everyone can be satisfied with the stay additionally he is a very good chef

The location is great, the cleanliness left much to be desired .... and the room we had smelled like dog .... The food is good and the hotel grounds are not really well maintained. Unfortunately that was the impression that has received us.

Nice service delicious food. The rooms are also very cozy and quiet. All about a good choice. We will come back🤗
